Winston made his debut in the ring in the Canadian Mastiff Club National Specialty at the tender age of 8 months. He won the Puppy Sweepstakes and later that day in the Thunder Bay all breed show he won the Best of Breed under judge Lala Casselman. He then went on to win Group 4th and Best Puppy in Group under judge Michael Shoreman.	Winston attaining his championship at Red Deer show November 2005 under judge Mrs. Sheila Verhulst.
